Presenting Arizona Breastfeeding Bag Project and Holiday event

The AZ Breastfeeding Bag Projects hands out true breastfeeding bags to mothers who want to breastfeed.

According to one of the group's organiziers, "This is an alternative to the formula bags that many moms will recieve at the doctors offices and at the hospital. It has been shown that when a mom has the support and resources that she needs she will continue to breastfeed."

These bags are available through midwives offices and upon request. The bag contains a few sample items such as nipple cream, nursing pads, milk storage bag, and lactation tea. It also contains on where to turn for information, including support groups.

In November the group is having a Boutique event that is working as a fundrasier. The hope is that the event that will bring together vendors and breastfeeding moms - pregnant moms and the community is welcome to attend as well!

They have the event set up on facebook here.

Join them on November 3rd at 1600 W Main Street, Mesa, AZ

Are you a vendor looking for an event to promote your product?

Vendors will pay a fee for their spot which goes directly toward the cost of the bag project. There is no "percentage" taken from your sales, that is for you to keep. According to the Arizona Breastfeeding Bag Project says, "I guess this is kind of like a community service project to help mom businesses. During this time as will we will be handing out breastfeeding bags to anyone who wants them." Join the event above on facebook and message an administrator or email them at AZBFBP@gmail.com

Get to know It Is Well Soap

When at a big box store, or even a health food store, we often pick the soaps and moisturizers that are on sale or that have a special character our children like, or even a smell it has, even if the smell is something potentially harmful. I know I'm guilty of it at times!

When we have sensitive skin, we may realize the issues with "regular" products, but really, it is important for all of us to know what we're using and what it may do to our body. In all reality, the EPA and the Environmental Working Group has told us of the dangers of many of the items in these products and it is time to make a change.

It Is Well Soap is a creation of a Phoenix-couple who really wanted to be able to do more for their family and have a great product. Here's what they had to say to Attached Moms

Deodorant by It is Well Soaps
Thank you for your interest in wanting to know more about us. We are a family of 6 dedicated to serving Jesus Christ and fulfilling His will for our family. Our goal is to glorify God through this business adventure by fully utilizing the talents and knowledge that He has equipped us with. We are also dedicated to providing our customers with a superior, high quality product.

We decided to go forth on this adventure because we could not find quality skin care products that were natural and effective. We also wanted products without harsh chemicals that would damage our skin. We had all sorts of rashes and cracked skin that was irritating and would not go away. These issues were on our hands, bottoms, cheeks and lips. We tried to treat these issues with different lotions and creams but as soon as we would put them on, our skin would burn. So we started to research ingredients to make our own lotion to help with these skin issues. We use natural ingredients that would moisturize our skin and not burn when we put it on. The lotion is very good and did help to heal the dry cracked skin that we were experiencing but the problem would consistently return.

Instead of just treating the symptoms, we wanted to figure out what was causing the problems. We tried all different soaps for washing dishes, bathing and daily hand wash but nothing was working. With having 4 young children, there is always someone or something that needs washing. We decided to start researching and learning how to make our own soap. We were very happy with the lotion and thought that a good home made soap would be icing on the cake! Since we have been using our home made soap and lotions, we have not had any skin issues at all!
The products on this site are the result of our research along with the knowledge that God has provided us with. We are praying that these products will be a blessing to you and your family as much as they have been to ours.
