Phoenix families - B&S Photography session giveaway

When you got engaged, did you have that special photo that showcased your love? We didn't do an official photo and at times I regret not having that "us" photo. We have a few snapshots, but no professional photos.

Now that'we re married with kids, I'm making it a point to get real photos of our kids, even though my husband does have a nice photo, someone outside the family will catch the kiddos personality just slightly different than we do - we're just too close to the kiddos to see a spark that someone new will see in different light. 

Family photo packages are one great way to capture memories and a way to really show the personality of your family without having to set, press the timer and RUN hopefully into position.

B&S Photography is giving away 1 FREE session (can be maternity (best at around 36+ weeks), newborn, babies/children, family or couples/engagement). All sessions are 1 hour long with the exception of a newborn session, which is 3 hours.

Be sure to tell them Attached Moms sent you! Newborn sessions (age 14 days or younger) includes:

• Travel to your home

• 3 hour photo session

• props (hats/headbands/diaper covers/blankets etc.)

All other sessions include:

• 1 hour on location photo session
• Up to 6 people (any person thereafter will be $15.00)

Winner of the contest will be responsible for the cost of prints if they wish to purchase a photo package. We will discuss the type of session, location, date/time and print pricing after the winner has been announced, but expires 8/31/2012.

June 3rd - Boob Sunday - Breastfeeding Photos

I saw this photo come across my facebook feed and stopped to read it and then share... but Facebook informed me I could not share the image. I am not sure if it was a "blip" or their attempt to prevent sharing of "breastfeeding" photos or not, but here's my attempt to raise awareness on the fact that breastfeeding is normal. We shouldn't have to worry about who is saying what.

If you are so inclined, please share a photo of you (or even some art if you don't have one) of breastfeeding on June 3rd, 2012.

We know that there's a good chance that are photos will be removed AND our accounts on facebook could be suspended. Facebook's policy on "nudity" needs to be redefined so that we can show breastfeeding photos online. Breastfeeding is important. We need awareness. It would be nice if we didn't have to take action like this, but since we still get "ew" comments or our babies are told to eat in bathrooms, we need to ask for these rights.

Please consider signing this petition to Mark Zuckerberg's wife, Priscilla Chan, MD. Afterall, if the CEO of this large company is married to a pediatrician, she should at least know that 1) breastfeeding is important, 2) it is normal and 3) she needs to tell her husband these things so that he can make change in his organization, including no longer censoring photos of breastfeeding.
