"It is Unsafe to place portable infant carrier/seats in shopping carts." As we posted hear earlier, carseats are meant for cars. Speaking to a taller friend, if you find babywearing and shopping to be inconvenient, stand perpendicular to the item you wish to purchase and reach, rather than being parallel to the item. This should make it easier to reach higher items. I don't have that problem, because even without babywearing, I can't reach things above eye level :)
