Nurse in in Napa July 16, 10 am

Passing this along for moms who are interested in seeing breastfeeding become normal and NO baby should be refused basic nourishment in a location they are legally allowed to be present.

California Right to Breastfeed in Public (1997)
Section 43.3 of the Civil Code
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a mother may breastfeed her child in any location, public or private, except the private home or residence of another, where the mother and the child are otherwise authorized to be present."

Attention Napa, CA area moms:

After an incident at the Social Security Office in Napa, on Soscol Ave. in which a woman was asked to leave b/c she was discreetly breastfeeding her small child, we are planning a NURSE-IN!

The woman was told she needed to leave because it was against the law to breastfeed in a federal building.

The Nurse-In is planned to help bring correct information and attention to breastfeeding in public.

The Napa Valley Register says they are very interested in covering this story and we would like to get as many nursing mamas to join us.
