I read somewhere, and it was eye-opening, even to me, that we need to start thinking of the issues this way...
Since BFIng is natural, it isn't that breastfeeding makes your child smarter, it is that formula prevents your child from being as smart as their potential. It isn't that breastmilk promotes the immune system, it is that formula prevents the immune system from being supported... The list goes on and on... Would the "choice" be different for women if, like cigarettes, formula had this on the label?
