Lunch

Well it was Udupi or home made today and homemade won. We had some broccoli in need of some attention, as well as some mushrooms. Not exactly two vegetables that you see co-mingling regularly, but it worked well anyway.
Heat the oil, add mustard seeds and let pop.
Add cumin, corander, chili and stir to let out aroma.

Add chopped onion and turmeric
Stir
Add three chopped tomatoes or one can.

Add mushrooms and broccoli.

Stir and cover until vegetables are done.


Add chopped cilantro and salt to taste.








Served with tortilla (chapati), flax seeds, peanut chutney and pickle.

I loved when my kids started eating solid foods! Nothing was "yucky" - though there were definitely things that they had opinions about... but "eeeeewwwww" was NOT in their vocabularies! LOL
